Hiking in Big South Fork Country Hikers of all ages are sure to enjoy the hundreds of miles of hiking available in the Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area, in Pickett State Park, and the TN State Natural Areas located throughout the region. In the BSFNRRA, you can hike the East Rim Overlook for a scenic river overlook; the Leatherwood Loop for a scenic overlook, rock bluffs and river; angel Falls Rapid to see the river views, bluffs, rapids and wildflowers, and/or the Oscar Blevins Loop to view mature forest, bluffs, rock shelters, and waterfalls. In Pickett State Park, hiking trails encompass views such as beautiful timberlands with abundant wildlife, natural sandstone bridges and bluffs, and a 15 acre lake.
