Fishing the Big South Fork area!
Fishing is very popular in the BSFNRRA, in Pickett State Park, on Dale Hollow Lake and area rivers and ponds. The area hosts several species such as channel catfish, sunfish, muskie, bass - rock, small mouth and large mouth as well as striped, white and spotted, walleye, trout - brown and rainbow, and crappie.
You will need a Tennessee fishing license for this area. Be careful in BSFNRRA as part of that park is in Kentucky, and requires a Kentucky fishing license. Give us a call before you head out and we'll help you plan the best trip.
River access can be obtained via many routes including the Clear Fork River at Peters Ford Bridge, at Brewster Bridge, and Burnt Mill Bridge. The Big South Fork can be accessed at Leatherwood Ford Bridge, Station Camp, Blue Heron, Yamacraw Bridge, Alum Fork and Worley. White Oak Creek via TN Hwy 52, and North White Oak Creek at Zenith. And the New River via the New River Bridge.
Dale Hollow Lake is just a short drive from Jamestown, TN and has several marinas to utilize including Sunset Marina and East Port Marina. Both with fuel and supplies to support your boating/ fishing adventure.
